Hill and Rodríguez launched Locke & Key in 2008 and it quickly became one of IDW’s best-selling titles. The series follows the members Locke family, who take up residence in their family estate in Massachusetts and discover that it houses several keys possessing various magical powers. One of those keys can also be seen in this latest promo. And because the series’ premiere date is only two months away, the first trailer can’t be far off.

Hollywood has been trying to adapt Locke & Key for almost 10 years. Fox produced a pilot episode directed by Mark Romanek in 2011. However, the network chose not to pick up the series. The project was revived at Hulu in 2017 before it was ultimately carted off to Netflix a year later.
The new series began filming this past February in Toronto. Last week, the show’s Twitter page announced that the first season had officially wrapped.
Locke & Key stars Darby Stanchfield as Nina Locke, Connor Jessup as Tyler Locke, Emilia Jones as Kinsey Locke, and Jackson Robert Scott as Bode Locke. Laysla De Oliveira also co-stars as the series’ main villain, Dodge.
