The Wheel of Time Adds Even More Cast Members

Amazon has just drafted three more actors to star in its upcoming adaptation of Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time novels. According to Deadline, the producers have tapped Priyanka Bose, Taylor Napier, and Emmanuel Imani to recur on the new series.

Bose (top left) had her breakthrough in 2010 when she starred in the Italian film Gangor. Over the last decade, she has primarily been featured in Indian cinema. However, she has also appeared in American movies, including Lion in 2016. Napier hasn’t had many high profile roles, but he did appear in several episodes of All About April. Meanwhile, Imani (top right) has appeared in episodes of Black Earth Rising and Hold the Dark. He has also had roles in films, including Criminal and Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.

Rosamund Pike will headline The Wheel of Time as Moiraine, a leading member of a powerful ancient sisterhood known as the Aes Sedai. Bose’s character, Alanna Mosvani, is also one of the Aes Sedai. In Jordan’s novels, Alanna was a woman who could be very kind and possessed a sense of humor. But on other occasions, her famous temper could flare up as well. Napier and Imani will co-star as Alanna’s two Warders, Maksim and Ihvon, respectively.

Rafe Judkins, a veteran of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., is acting as showrunner for The Wheel of Time. The show’s cast also includes Madeleine Madden, Marcus Rutherford, Barney Harris, Zoë Robins, and Josha Stradowski. Filming began in September, but no release date is currently set.
