Earlier today, The Mandalorian wrapped up its first season with an explosive finale. Fortunately, it won’t be a long wait to see the further adventures of Mando and his adoptive child. Via Twitter, series creator Jon Favreau confirmed that The Mandalorian season 2 is coming in fall 2020.
Additionally, Favreau teased one of season 2’s new characters. Judging from the picture, it appears that a Gamorian will appear in the new season. During Return of the Jedi, Gamorian guards were prominent in Jabba’s palace. However, this particular Gamorian appears to be a bit thinner.

Favreau wrote six out of the eight episodes in The Mandalorian‘s first season. However, Favreau has previously indicated that he plans to direct at least one season 2 episode. It’s unclear if any of the other season 1 directors will also return for the series. Deborah Chow, the director of episodes 3 and 7, is moving on to Disney+’s new Obi-Wan Kenobi series starring Ewan McGregor. That show is expected to film next year.
The Mandalorian season 1 is currently streaming on Disney+.
