Amazon Reveals the Full Cast for The Lord of the Rings Series

Over the last several months, Amazon has unveiled a few morsels about who will be starring in The Lord of the Rings TV show. Via Deadline, Amazon Studios has just confirmed who viewers can expect to see on the upcoming series.

Markella Kavenagh, Ema Horvath, Joseph Mawle, and Morfydd Clark were all previously announced as part of the cast. Additionally, Robert Aramayo signed on last week as Will Poulter’s replacement. However, there are also a few new names to get excited about. During today’s TCA events, Amazon shared that Owain Arthur, Nazanin Boniadi, Tom Budge, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, and Daniel Weyman have joined the series as well.

In spite of this latest development, the casting process isn’t over just yet. According to Amazon’s co-head of TV, Vernon Sanders, there are still some key roles to fill. Unfortunately, they wouldn’t say who these new actors are playing. Deadline also notes that the series will finally start production next month. In the meantime, the cast is currently participating in table reads in the franchise’s New Zealand stomping grounds.
