The Vampires Strike Back In New Castlevania Season 3 Trailer

Dracula is dead. The lord of the vampires was defeated in Castlevania season 2 by the unlikely alliance of Trevor Belmont, Sypha Belnades, and Alucard, the son of Dracula himself. In the end, Dracula preferred to die rather than killing his only child. However, the army amassed by Dracula has been co-opted by Carmilla, and she has grand plans for it in the new Castlevania season 3 trailer.

In the video below, Carmilla elaborates on her idea to contain humanity and feed from them forever. Additionally, Carmilla has enslaved Hector, Dracula’s forgemaster, and forced him to unleash new monsters under her control. The video also briefly catches up with Trevor and Sypha as they try to make a new life for themselves. But this time, they’re a much more formidable team. Trevor and Sypha are also apparently able to play off of each others’ abilities. That’s going to come in handy against their latest opponents.

Alucard will also mentor “a pair of admirers” this season. One of those admirers is apparently sparring with Alucard at the .17 second mark. Additionally, Netflix notes that Isaac, Dracula’s other human forgemaster, will be searching for Hector. Isaac isn’t a friend of humanity and he hates humans as much as Dracula did. However, Isaac may prove to be a wildcard in the battle against Carmilla.

As for Dracula, death has rarely been the end for him…especially in the Castlevania video game series. Dracula may eventually rise again, sooner than anyone expects.

Castlevania season 3 will hit Netflix on March 5. The first two seasons are currently streaming.
