Stranger Things 4 Promotes Priah Ferguson to Series Regular

One of Stranger Things 3‘s breakout stars is going to have a much bigger role to play when the series returns for its fourth season. According to Variety, Priah Ferguson has been promoted to series regular for Stranger Things 4.

Ferguson’s Erica Sinclair made her debut appearance in the show’s second season. Erica is the younger sister of Caleb McLaughlin’s Lucas Sinclair, and she was usually seen making fun of her older brother for his geek fandoms. However, Erica had a much larger role in season 3 when she helped Dustin, Steve, and Robin infiltrate the secret Russian lab hidden beneath Starcourt Mall. The last time viewers saw Erica, Dustin and Lucas were presenting her with a Dungeons & Dragons set to call her own. This suggests that she will formally join the gang by the time season 4 premieres.

Netflix officially announced that Stranger Things 4 was happening last fall. More recently, Netflix released a teaser confirming that David Harbour’s Jim Hopper will return. But Hopper’s survival should have been obvious. After all, we never saw a body. Additionally, a post-credits scene teased the presence of an unnamed “American” locked away in a Russian POW camp.

In addition to Ferguson, Stranger Things 4 will most likely feature the return of Maya Hawke’s Robin, who also became a hit with fans when she joined the series last year. The new season will reportedly introduce four other new characters, including three teens and one adult.

Stranger Things 4 is still without a premiere date.
