Earlier this week, The Flash showrunner Eric Wallace shared that even though the upcoming sixth season finale wasn’t their original plan, it still packs enough action to hold fans over until the series can resume production. Now, The CW. via Heroic Hollywood, has released the official synopsis for the last episode of season 6. You can read it for yourself below.
“THE FLASH” SEASON FINALE – Barry (Grant Gustin) considers a risky plan to save Iris (Candice Patton) from the Mirrorverse. Ralph (Hartley Sawyer) attempts to stop Sue (guest star Natalie Dreyfuss) from making a grave mistake that could destroy her life. Phil Chipera directed the episode written by Kelly Wheeler & Lauren Barnett.”

The back half of The Flash’s current season has notably featured Iris being replaced by an impostor. As the synopsis suggests, the finale will finally get around to Iris’ escape from the mirror dimension. Viewers will also see Barry running the gamut in his quest to save his wife. Wallace previously teased that the episode includes “one of the biggest battles” in the show’s history. However, it’s still not clear if he was referring to Barry’s rescue mission.
The Flash will air its new season finale on Tuesday, May 12 on The CW.
