The Mandalorian Season 2 Adds Directors Robert Rodriguez & Peyton Reed
For the upcoming second season of The Mandalorian, showrunner Jon Favreau will join returning directors Rick Famuyiwa and Dave Filoni behind the camera. Cast member Carl Weathers also helmed an episode this season. Now, Robert Rodriguez and Peyton Reed have confirmed that they directed episodes as well.
On Twitter, Rodriguez posted a picture of himself and The Child/Baby Yoda, whom he called “the biggest star in the universe.”

Pedro Pascal and Gina Carano will be back as The Mandalorian and Cara Dune, respectively. Weathers will also reprise his role as Greef Karga. Additionally, Giancarlo Esposito will return as Moff Gideon. Comedian Bill Burr has also been confirmed to guest star as Mayfeld, a role he originated in the first season. However, it’s unclear whom Michael Biehn will portray on the series.
The Mandalorian season 2 will hit Disney+ in October.
