The Future Begins Again in New Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 Trailer

It’s Star Trek Day, and CBS All Access is celebrating by dropping a new trailer and poster for of Star Trek: Discovery. When the show began, it was a prequel to the original series. However, Discovery changed course at the end of season 2. Now, Michael Burnham and the Discovery crew are trapped 930 years in the future. And the Federation isn’t what it used to be.

The new trailer does offer some hints about how the Federation fell. According to a new character named Cleveland “Book” Booker (David Ajala), the Federation was lost during “the Burn.” Regardless, the legacy lives on, and Discovery will attempt to restore the Federation to its former self.
