Richard E. Grant Shares His Excitement For Marvel’s Loki Series

Back in March, Marvel Studios’ Loki series added Richard E. Grant to its cast just days before the coronavirus outbreak shut down the production. Because of this, Grant probably didn’t get to film any of his scenes for the show. But as we learned earlier this week, filming has resumed, and it looks like Grant is finally ready to step in front of the camera.

Grant took to Twitter to tease that he was finally starting work on the series. According to Grant, he and Loki star Tom Hiddleston have actually known each other for quite a while. However, they’ve never gotten a chance to work together until now. Check out what he had to say below.

Grant has been acting since the early ‘80s. But in the last few years, he has had roles in high profile projects like Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Logan, and Can You Ever Forgive Me?, which landed him his first-ever Oscar nomination. He was most recently seen AMC’s Dispatches From Elsewhere.

Like every other Loki supporting player, Grant’s role on the show remains a mystery. But this year’s Super Bowl spot (as well as a few set pics) indicated that the Time Variance Authority plays a role in the series. Perhaps Grant’s character is tied to this organization. When Variety announced his casting earlier this year, it was reported that he only appears in one episode.

Loki will premiere its six-episode first season in 2021.
