The Walking Dead stars had to adapt to some significant changes to keep working after the COVID-19 outbreak. AMC is shooting in Senoia, Georgia, the upcoming six episodes that fans will be treated with while waiting for Season 11. While talking to EW Live, actor Norman Reedus revealed that actors are wearing some sort of tracers and are doing lots of tests.
“We wear these little tracers in our clothes that will tell us how long we spend in proximity to another tracer,” he said (via EW). “We’re being super safe. There’s a ton of rules now. Everybody’s masked up or has shields on. I have a big scar on my face so that this mask doesn’t work, so I wear the shield everybody else wears masks. They take our temperature right off the bat. We get tested three times a week. We do the rapid testing.”

On top of that, the cast members are announced loudly every time they arrive on the set.
“It’s kind of embarrassing,” Reedus added. “Because I’ll show up on set and they’ll be like ‘Actor on set!’ And then the people part like Moses and the sea. And I’m like, “Excuse me, coming through.’ It’s embarrassing.”
Reedus will reprise the role of Daryl Dixon in the additional The Walking Dead Season 10 episode that debut somewhere in spring 2021.
