Neil Gaiman Announces American Gods Season 3 Debut Date for January

American Gods will officially return at the beginning of next year. The story about the quarrelsome gods from worldwide mythology will run for at least one more season. Neil Gaiman, the author of the book and executive producer of the show, broke the news on his Twitter account. Gaiman increased the level of his involvement in the sophomore season year, but, even so, fans didn’t seem to like the show as much following several cast and creative changes.

Gaiman also dropped a sort of poster for the show. Check it out here below.

In the message Gaiman shared with the poster, the British author teased that the story is much more “timely” than expected.

“The struggles of the gods and the people in Season 3 of American Gods are the struggles of America. We didn’t think it would prove as timely when we plotted it, nor did I think the novel would still be relevant when I wrote it over 20 years ago. But I’m glad it’s happening now, in a year when it feels as though diverse stories are being heard, and honored, and allowed to change the future.”

American Gods Season 3 will premiere on Starz on Jan. 10.
