Zombies are about to invade AMC’s Christmas-themed programming block. Via Deadline, the network has just shared new details for The Walking Dead Holiday Special, which will air exclusively on its premium streaming service, AMC+.
Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick will emcee the special, with a handful of current and former cast members dropping by. Fresh off her long-awaited return to the flagship series in October, Lauren Cohan (Maggie) leads a guest lists that also includes Melissa McBride (Carol), Josh McDermitt (Eugene), Khary Payton (Ezekiel), Eleanor Matsuura (Yumiko), Cooper Andrews (Jerry), Cassady McClincy (Lydia), Lauren Ridloff (Connie), and Cailey Fleming (Judith).
Additionally, old favorites like Emily Kinney (Beth) and IronE Singleton (T-Dog) will show up as well. Walking Dead Chief Content Officer Scott M. Gimple and showrunner Angela Kang will also be on hand to discuss what it’s been like to work on the series for over a decade.

Viewers still have to wait a few more months before The Walking Dead resumes its tenth season on February 28. However, the special will have an added bonus for anyone wanting an early peek at what comes next. The episode will also feature a glimpse at a table read for one of the season’s upcoming bonus chapters. And because this is a holiday event, fans can expect the cast to perform their own renditions of Christmas staples. Kinney, who’s character sang several times on the series, will perform “Up on the Housetop” on the special. Meanwhile, Payton, Andrews, Matsuura, and McClincy will sing their own “Twelve Days of Christmas” parody.
The Walking Dead Holiday Special will premiere on AMC+ on Sunday, December 13.
