Temuera Morrison Talks Boba Fett’s Return in The Mandalorian

The latest episode of The Mandalorian was an emotional roller coaster. Among the many incredibly exciting things that happened, Temuera Morrison’s Boba Fett officially made his proper return on-screen after a brief appearance at the end of the Season 2 premiere. The bounty hunter confronted Mando on Tython to get his father’s armor back. The two faced each other before they joined forces to defeat a Stormtrooper platoon.

In a recent interview with the NY Times, Morrison explained that he wasn’t sure about his return in the Star Wars Universe. He started realizing that it was happening for real only after meeting with The Mandalorian producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. He then talked about the more seasoned Boba fans saw in the newest installment.

“When we find Boba, he’s well-worn, and he’s been through a lot,” he said. “He’s a survivor, and he’s weathered. Now it was time to find out more about what makes Boba tick. Is he more than just a simple man, trying to make his way through the galaxy? Is he tired of all the fighting?”

He then confessed that he doesn’t know how Boba Fett survived the encounter with the Sarlacc. At the same time, he praised the Star Wars fans for having better knowledge than him about what’s going on in the Star Wars Universe.

In the same interview, Morrison tackled the rumored The Mandalorian spin-off focusing on Boba Fett. He didn’t elaborate too much about it, stating just that he hopes to take part in any plans about it.

“I’m just going to have to wait and see,” he added. “I think a lot of it depends on how things go with this season, but I don’t really know. I wanted to bring everything I had to that [episode] and give them a glimmer of what I can offer. There’s room for this to go someplace. I hope I’m going to be included.”
