The CW has debuted a promo for the upcoming thirteenth episode of Batwoman season 2. It appears things will take an ugly turn for Alice in the next installment, as Kate Kane’s twin sister is kidnapped and about to be interrogated about Batwoman. In the meantime, the titular heroine, Sophie, and the rest of the team will have to deal with the Cluemaster. It will be the first live-action appearance of the character, and the name of the actor playing the villain has yet to be announced. In the comics, his real name is Arthur Brown, and he’s a failed game show host. He has a daughter called Stephanie, but he rarely spends time with her. Stephanie Brown later assumes the secret identity of Spoiler, before taking on the mantle of Robin and then Batgirl.

Marshall Virtue directed the episode written by Caroline Dries and Natalie Abrams. The official synopsis for “I’ll Give You a Clue” reads:
GAME NIGHT – When Sophie (Meagan Tandy) must face a foe from her rookie days with The Crows, Ryan (Javicia Leslie), Mary (Nicole Kang) and Luke (Camrus Johnson) are also pulled into the villain’s game. Meanwhile, the tables turn on Alice (Rachel Skarsten) when she finds herself in dire circumstances, and Jacob (Dougray Scott) continues to revisit the past.
The next episode of Batwoman will air this Sunday, May 9, on The CW.
