Star Trek: Prodigy Reveals Full Voice Cast, New Character Images

The return of Kate Mulgrew as Kathryn Janeway has a lot of Paramount Plus subscribers excited for Star Trek: Prodigy. But the former Star Trek: Voyager star is only playing a background role on the new animated series while six new heroes take center stage instead. Now, we finally know which performers are bringing these cosmic adventurers to life. Via BleedingCool, Paramount+ has announced the full voice cast for the new show alongside new images and breakdowns of their respective characters.

Gwyn (Ella Purnell)

Seventeen-year-old Gwyn belongs to a species of alien known as the Vau N’Akat. She grew up on her dad’s “bleak” mining planet, even though she’s always longed to see more of the universe. Purnell recently starred in Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead and previously headlined Starz’s Sweetbitter, which aired two seasons from 2018 to 2019. She also had a role in Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children in 2016.

Dal (Brett Gray)

Dal’s species is unknown. But like Gwyn, he’s 17 years old and also dreams of a better future. He stands out thanks to his “unwavering hope,” which should come in handy even in the toughest situations. Gray recently had roles on When They See Us and On My Block, both of which streamed on Netflix.

Murf (Dee Bradley Baker)

Murf is an “indestructible blob” known for his “curiously” good timing. It’s not clear how old he is in relation to the other members of the group. However, he apparently has an “insatiable appetite for ship parts,” but it’s hard to imagine how useful this will be. Baker is a voice acting legend with literally hundreds of credits to his name. He currently provides the voice of the Clone Troopers on Star Wars: The Bad Batch on Disney+

The cast also includes Angus Imrie as Zero, who belongs to a “noncorporeal, genderless, energy-based” species of lifeforms known as Medusans. Zero wears a containment suit to protect their shipmates from harm. Jason Mantzoukas has also joined the series as a 16-year-old, argumentative Tellarite named Jankom Pog. Finally, Rylee Alazraqui will voice Rok-Tahk, an eight-year-old Brikar who is shy, smart, and has a special place in her heart for animals.

Star Trek: Prodigy will debut on Paramount+ later this year.
