In the Mid-80s, Rankin/Bass Productions introduced the SilverHawks in their own animated series. The show took place in the far future, where Commander Stargazer’s SilverHawks team had to become part-cyborg to survive the rigors of space. The show only lasted for 65 episodes and largely faded away from memory. However, after three-and-a-half decades, Quicksilver, Bluegrass, Steelheart, Steelwill, and the Copper Kid are getting a revival.
Via Deadline, The Nacelle Company has announced a deal with SilverHawks LLC. to bring back the classic franchise. SilverHawks LLC is owned by the toy company, Super7, which also announced an action figure line of SilverHawks Ultimates earlier this year.
“SilverHawks is a beloved franchise that has been overlooked for far too long,” said Super7 founder Brian Flynn in a statement. “We are super excited to be working with Nacelle to bring SilverHawks back into the limelight for the die-hard fans as well as a new generation of fans to experience the magic of SilverHawks for the first time.”

Brian Volk-Weiss, the founder of The Nacelle Company, also shared a short statement about the revival.
“When I spoke with Brian Flynn the first time, I was like the character Yes-Man! “Yessss, just tell me where to sign!” said Volk-Weiss.
The Nacelle Company produces The Toys That Made Us and The Movies That Made Us for Netflix. Additionally, the company produces Behind the Attraction for Disney+. This is the first major scripted project for the company. At the moment, there are no further details about the project.
