Warning: There are massive spoilers ahead for Masters of the Universe: Revelation, Part 1!
Raise your hand if you really thought He-Man was dead forever after the ending of Masters of the Universe: Revelation, Part 1. Granted, things aren’t looking so hot for Prince Adam after he was impaled by Skeletor, who then went on to steal the Power of Grayskull. Adam also died earlier in the series to save Eternia, before coming back from the afterlife. However, in part to counter some of the angry reactions from fans, Chris Wood, the actor who portrays He-Man and his alter ego, has a simple message: Adam isn’t dead.
“Adam’s not dead; he’s very wounded,” said Wood during an interview with Variety. “If you want to light the whole world on fire, in terms of destroying a fandom, you’d take He-Man out and be like, ‘That’s it, he’s gone, bye!’ Now what they’ve done is they’ve found really interesting ways to turn the dynamics of the show on its head and raise the stakes to a point that the original never saw.”

Mattel TV’s Rob David also reiterated Wood’s remarks. Additionally, David indicated that Part 2 will focus on Adam’s attempt to regain his stolen powers.
“A lot of Part 2 is a world in which Skeletor has the power — then we get to say, ‘Well, what made Adam special?’” said David. “‘What does it mean to have the power? What made Adam the person who was most worthy to be He-Man?’ I will tell you this: Adam’s story is not done and will never be done. Not saying what happens to him, but I’m just saying the stories continue.”
Masters of the Universe: Revelation, Part 2 will likely debut later this year or in early 2022.
