Next week, the new season of Titans will finally get rolling on HBO Max. And because it’s been well over a year since Dick Grayson fully embraced his Nightwing persona in the season 2 finale, some viewers might need a refresher before the new episodes premiere. Luckily, the cast has us covered. HBO Max has just released a new video where several actors from the series recap the events of Titans’ first two seasons.
It’s only natural to start at the beginning. That’s why Brenton Thwaites (Dick Grayson), Teagan Croft (Rachel Roth), and Anna Diop (Kory) kick things off with the murder of Rachel’s adoptive mother at the outset of season 1. This sets off a chain reaction that ultimately brings the young team of heroes (including Ryan Potter’s Gar Logan) together. Along the way, they meet even more members of the costumed crowd like Hank and Dawn, Donna Troy, and Jason Todd.

By the time season 2 rolls around, the Titans’ world has gotten much bigger. Although they managed to defeat Rachel’s father, Trigon, they face new threats in the form of Deathstroke and his two children, Rose and Jericho. Fortunately, new allies like Joshua Orpin’s Conner and his dog Krypto join the fight. But their latest battle exacts a heavy toll with the loss of Donna in the finale. And there’s still the matter of Kory’s sister, Blackfire…
Titans season 3 will premiere on HBO Max on Thursday, August 12.
