Late last year, Lucasfilm announced Star Wars: Ahsoka as a future series on Disney+. While there haven’t been many updates about it, we know that Rosario Dawson will reprise her role as Ahsoka from The Mandalorian season 2. However, a new report suggests that Ahsoka will be joined by a familiar face.
Via The Hollywood Reporter, a story about Marvel Studios’ animation had a little relevant info for this series.
“Now, Dawson is leading a live-action Ahsoka spinoff for Disney+, with sources saying Lucasfilm is looking for an actress to star opposite Dawson as Mandalorian warrior Sabine Wren.”

Sabine was one of the main characters of Star Wars: Rebels. She was also a previous wielder of the Darksaber, which is currently in the possession of Din Djarin. Additionally, Sabine was a freedom fighter before she remained on Lothal at the end of Rebels.
During the closing moments of Rebels, Sabine reunited with Ahsoka to look for their friend, Ezra Bridger. Ezra disappeared during the final battle with Grand Admiral Thrawn. Fans were also quick to notice that Ahsoka mentioned Thrawn by name during her Mandalorian appearance. And if Thrawn is still alive, it stands to reason that Ezra is as well.
Disney+ hasn’t set a start date for Ahsoka yet. Regardless, once casting announcements begin, production won’t be too far behind.
