Cartoon Network Announces ‘Merry Little Batman’ Holiday Special

Although his stoic disposition would suggest otherwise, even Batman celebrates the holidays. And later this year, Cartoon Network is giving a key member of the Bat Family his very own Christmas special. The network (via Collider) has just shared the first details for Merry Little Batman.

The special follows Damian Wayne, the son of Bruce Wayne, who has been left all by his lonesome in Wayne Manor. When a band of supervillains devise a plan to rain on everyone’s Yuletide cheer, the pint-sized hero steps up to defend the holiday season. But instead of assuming his Robin persona, Damian will sport a cape and cowl like his famous father. You can check out the special’s logo below.

Merry Little Batman is being developed as part of Cartoon Network’s ACME Night block, which will air new content every Sunday starting on September 19 at 6pm. Viewers can also expect a new Looney Tunes movie, a Harry Potter-themed competition series, a new Steve Urkel special, and more.
