It’s Disney+ Day, but so far, Disney is only letting subscribers see what they really want to see. After leaking earlier this week, the official Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi sizzle reel has been released. However, it’s not on YouTube or Lucasfilm’s social media. Instead, you have to go here to watch the sizzle reel. Additionally, there’s no footage to show off just yet. Instead, Ewan McGregor briefly hypes his return as Obi-Wan, as does director Deborah Chow.
Chow hinted that the show will move beyond the initial premise, which finds Obi-Wan on Tatooine and looking after Luke Skywalker from a distance. She also expressed her excitement about the return of Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader. Christensen also briefly appears in the video while training for a lightsaber showdown with Obi-Wan. Lucasfilm also included some concept art for that duel, which you can see below.

McGregor and Christensen won’t be the only Prequel trilogy actors to return. Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse are also reprising their roles as Luke’s adoptive parents, Owen and Beru Lars. Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, Benny Safdie, and Maya Erskine will also have roles in the series.
Star Wars: Obi-Wan will hit Disney+ in 2022.
