New Hawkeye Images Reveal Fresh Looks at the Supporting Cast

So far, the early word on Marvel’s Hawkeye series has been largely positive. And with a little over a week left to go until it hits Disney+, the studio (via Collider) has released eight new stills that showcase its impressive roster of talent. Naturally, many of the shots highlight the show’s two leads, Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) and Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld). However, other images give us a better look at some of the supporting players, including one who’s about to headline her own spinoff series. Check them out for yourself in the gallery below.

The first new photo shows Clint and Kate with their arrows drawn back, aiming at an unseen threat. Of course, the series probably features no shortage of shots like this, with the two heroes standing side by side (or back to back) and ready for action. But some of the other stills show the characters on their own. One particular image finds Clint standing in front of a “Trust a Bro” moving van. Fans of Matt Fraction and David Aja’s Hawkeye comics might recognize this as a reference to their critically-acclaimed run on the series, which featured tracksuit-wearing thugs who used the word “bro” a lot. Needless to say, Fraction and Aja’s work served as a major influence on the TV show.

Another image highlights Vera Farmiga as Kate’s mom, Eleanor Bishop, at a formal event with Tony Dalton’s Jack Duquesne. The full nature of their relationship is still a mystery. But in the comics, Jack was introduced as the supervillain known as Swordsman and also happened to be Clint’s mentor. Regardless, it remains to be seen whether he will don his own costume when the series premieres.

Finally, two photos give us or best look yet at Alaqua Cox, who is making her MCU debut as Maya Lopez/Echo. One image shows her training in a boxing ring, while another finds her standing next to a motorcycle in an alleyway, seemingly waiting for someone. The role of Cox’s character on Hawkeye is still unclear, but it definitely won’t be her last appearance. Last week, Marvel announced plans for an Echo series with Cox returning to star.

Hawkeye will air its first two episodes on Disney+ on November 24.
