Peacemaker has a brand: peace at all costs, no matter how many men, women, and children has to kill. He’s such a dick that he was one of the villains of The Suicide Squad, a movie that was all about a team of villains. Regardless, Peacemaker has a new team in HBO Max’s upcoming series. Additionally, he may have more humanity as well.
HBO Max has released a new trailer for Peacemaker, which features his new team as led by Clemson Murn (Chukwudi Iwuji). John Economos (Steve Agee) and NSA Agent Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) round out the new task force. Additionally, Leota Adebayo (Danielle Brooks) is joining the team as well. And she may be the only member of the team who actually likes Peacemaker.

It’s easy to see why Peacemaker is so screwed up after meeting his father, Auggie Smith (Robert Patrick). It’s also obvious that Peacemaker’s mission is no longer as clear as it used to be. When Murn orders Peacemaker to take a fatal shot, he refuses because it would have killed a child. Peacemaker’s developing a conscience at the wrong time. And it may ultimately get him killed.
Peacemaker hits HBO Max on January 13, 2022.
