Shortly after Leota Adebayo stumbled upon Clemson Murn’s secret, he assures her that he won’t hurt her. Harcourt also shows up and confirms that she knew Murn was a butterfly. However, Murn says that he rebelled against the invasion plans of his people and wants to stop them. A few hours later, Peacemaker/Christopher Smith makes an appearance at a local school for show and tell day. But some of the students see through his false bravado. Meanwhile, Detective Song and the local police release Chris’ father, Auggie Smith, who reiterated his desire to kill Peacemaker. Song and the rest of the cops then made plans to arrest Chris.

Chris and Adrian Pierce/Vigilante attempt to communicate with the Goff butterfly before receiving a warning about Song’s arrival. During their escape, the Goff butterfly got loose and possessed Song’s body. Chris and Adrian were also aided by Murn’s associate, Caspar Locke, who murdered a few cops along the way. Hours later, the possessed Song summoned more butterflies and took them to the police station. In a matter of minutes, the entire station was possessed.

Meanwhile, Murn questions Peacemaker about the diary found at his home. However, Chris knows nothing about it because Leota placed it there at Waller’s request. The lone bit of good news is that John Economos has located “the cow,” a creature that produces the substance the butterflies need to feed on. Team Peacemaker makes plans to take out the cow, but Chris senses that they are holding something back from him. Elsewhere, Auggie assumes his role as the White Dragon and dons his costume while his white supremacist followers bow to him.

In the later hours of the night, Peacemaker admits to Harcourt that he no longer wants to kill people. But he’s fine with killing aliens. She calls him Chris for the first time, and also reveals that her first name is Emelia. It’s a nice moment, but it doesn’t last. Because Chris soon learns that the possessed Locke has gone public with the details in Peacemaker’s diary. Waller’s forged document makes Chris look like a wild alien conspiracy nut who killed Senator Goff by himself. Regardless of Team Peacemaker’s fate, Waller always planned to throw Chris to the wolves. It just happened earlier than she planned on. Now, every cop in the country is looking for Peacemaker with orders to bring him down by any means necessary.

Peacemaker episode 7 will premiere on HBO Max on Thursday, February 10.
