Anjali Bhimani Lands a Recurring Role in Disney+’s Ms. Marvel

Filming on Ms. Marvel has been done for quite a while, but a last-minute casting addition has managed to eke out ahead of the series’ debut later this year. Deadline brings word that Anjali Bhimani has a role in the highly-anticipated new show. The identity of her character remains a secret, but she will appear in multiple episodes.

Bhimani has mostly played small parts in movies and TV series. However, she is arguably more well-known among gamers. She provided the voice of Symmetra in 2016’s Overwatch and later voiced Rampart in Apex Legends. She also occasionally lends her talents to Critical Role. Most recently, Bhimani had a voice role in The Legend of Vox Machina as the Head Cleric. She last visited the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2019 when she guest-starred in two episodes of Hulu’s Runaways. Regardless, she probably isn’t playing the same character in Ms. Marvel.

Vellani is already set to reprise her role in next year’s The Marvels opposite Brie Larson and Teyonah Parris.

Disney+ hasn’t announced a release date for Ms. Marvel. However, it’s one of at least two other MCU shows expected to arrive this year after Moon Knight drops later this month. The studio is also gearing up for the launch of She-Hulk and a new season of What If…?
