Gotham Knights has cast another young hero (or villain) who is set to make his mark on Batman’s home turf in the wake of the Dark Knight’s murder. Deadline brings word that Rahart Adams has booked a leading role in The CW’s latest DC pilot.
The report says Adams will the role of Brody, who doesn’t seem to be based on any DC Comics character. His breakdown also makes it hard to tell where he falls on the good guy/bad guy spectrum; “Confident and charismatic, Brody’s got the brains and the looks — and he knows it. However, his entitled attitude covers his insecurity and jealousy of anyone who rivals him.”
Adams previously had a role in Pacific Rim: Uprising and also starred on YouTube Red’s Foursome from 2016-2018. Some of his earlier roles include stints on the Australian drama series House Husbands and Nickelodeon’s Every Witch Way.

The CW ordered a pilot for Gotham Knights back in December with Batwoman scribes Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux, and Natalie Abrams heading up the writers room. After Bruce Wayne is killed and the blame is pinned on his adopted son, Batman’s young ward teams up with the children of Gotham’s deadliest supervillains, who were also framed for the crime. As the city’s crime rate reaches an all-time high, this unlikely group will rise up to become Gotham’s new protectors.
Casting for the series began last month with Fallon Smythe and Tyler DiChiara joining as Harper Row/Bluebird and Cullen Row, respectively. The producers continued to fill out the series’ ranks over the next several weeks by adding Olivia Rose Keegan (Duela Dent), Navia Robins (Carrie Kelley), Oscar Morgan (Turner Hayes), and Anna Lore (Stephanie Brown). Misha Collins will also appear on the series as Harvey Dent.
Danny Cannon is directing the pilot episode of Gotham Knights and will also serve as an executive producer. As of now, we still don’t know if The CW plans on ordering the project to series.
