Ms. Marvel Mother’s Day Spot Emphasizes That Kamala’s Not Alone

Now that Moon Knight‘s finished, and with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in theaters, it’s time to start looking at what’s next from Marvel Studios. And that would be Ms. Marvel. We’re just a month out from Kamala Khan’s live-action debut on Disney+, and a new Ms. Marvel Mother’s Day spot reminds us of that. Plus it shows her mom, Muneeba Khan (Zenobia Shroff) being supportive. It’s hard to glean much more plot from what we see, but even though her powers look different, the trademark big fists aren’t going away.

With a June 8th release date, Ms. Marvel will overlap with Obi-Wan Kenobi, so enjoy those midnight episode drops! A month later, Thor: Love and Thunder hits the big screen.

Like Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel consists of six episodes. Unlike Moon Knight, it ties into the larger MCU by having Kamala Khan be a massive Captain Marvel fangirl. The end goal, of course, is the movie The Marvels, which will unite Kamala with both her hero and WandaVision‘s Monica Rambeau. Newcomer Iman Vellani makes her onscreen acting debut as Kamala, and it’s clear Marvel and Disney have a lot of faith in her.
