The CW’s Gotham Knights Trailer Introduces a New Generation of Heroes

Bruce Wayne’s son has some big shoes to fill. But fortunately, he’s getting some help along the way. Less than a month after getting a series order from The CW, the network has premiered the first trailer for Gotham Knights. You can check it out in the player below.

The trailer opens with Bruce’s adopted son, Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan), throwing a party at Wayne Manor. Sadly, the debauchery is interrupted when district attorney Harvey Dent arrives to inform Turner that his father has been killed. Bruce’s death, along with the revelation of his double-life as Batman, sends shockwaves through the city, eventually leading to a rise in lawlessness and prompting questions about who will step up as Gotham’s new protector.

It isn’t long before the GCPD brings in a trio of suspects in Bruce’s murder case. That includes Harper Row (Fallon Smythe), her brother, Cullen (Tyler DiChiara), and Duela (Olivia Rose Keegan), the latter of whom may or may not be the Joker’s daughter. However, the investigation takes an even more surprising turn when Turner becomes a suspect himself. But once it becomes clear that they’ve been set up, they all band together in an effort to clear their names.

Luckily, Turner and his unlikely allies aren’t the only ones trying to make things right. The series will also feature Navia Ziraili Robinson as Carrie Kelley, a classmate of Turner’s who previously helped Batman as his eyes and ears throughout Gotham, earning herself the nickname “little Robin” in the process. There’s still no sign that any of these characters will don their own costumes as the story moves forward. Regardless, they will be using the full arsenal of the Batcave to bring Bruce’s real killers to justice.

Gotham Knights will premiere on The CW sometime in 2023.
