Comic-Con’s return to the San Diego Convention Center next month is sure to be jam-packed with announcements. Now, Warner Bros. Discovery is pulling back the curtain on what it has planned for the event. Via The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has revealed which upcoming TV shows will make a splash at this year’s edition of the annual festival. Warner Bros. Discovery Announces.
One of the studio’s biggest draws this year will be House of the Dragon, the new Game of Thrones prequel series slated to hit HBO on August 21. The show will host its own panel in Hall H this year, as will The Sandman, based on Neil Gaiman’s acclaimed comic book series of the same name. Fans can expect a video presentation along with a Q&A with stars and producers.
Several animated WB projects will have a presence at the event as well. HBO Max will screen the first two episodes of Harley Quinn season 3, which is scheduled to premiere in July. Plus, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will host the world premiere of Green Lantern: Beware My Power followed by its own Q&A. That film arrives on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on July 26. Other panels will feature new looks at Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai and Teen Titans Go!
As for the comics, DC publisher Jim Lee will preview several upcoming titles, including the currently running Dark Crisis miniseries. A handful of Batman writers and artists will also appear onstage at a separate panel. But if you’re a fan of Tom Taylor and Tom King, you’re in luck. The two superstar creators will sit down for a retrospective conversation about their careers.

Additionally, Warner Bros. will use the event to plug at least two highly-anticipated video games. WB Games Montréal will be on hand to offer a new look at Gotham Knights. Gamers can also get a new look at MultiVersus, the new beat-‘em-up crossover title that lets players control dozens of characters in the WB stable, including many DC heroes.
This year notably marks WB’s first Comic-Con since its merger with Discovery. With this, the new company is making some big changes to its presentation strategy. For example, the studio is eliminating its traditional booth for the first time ever. Instead, the company is opting to showcase projects exclusively in panels. But even more surprising is the absence of panels for remaining CW shows like The Flash and Superman & Lois, possibly due to the network’s rumored sale in the near future.
Meanwhile, Warner Bros. has yet to confirm which DC films will be promoted at the convention next month. However, THR claims we can rule out panels for 2023 releases like The Flash and Blue Beetle, which the studio reportedly considers “too far out for any panel to have a meaningful impact.”
San Diego Comic-Con will take place from July 20 to July 24.
