Netflix has released the opening credits sequence for Scott Pilgrim Takes Off.
Shared on Netflix’s official YouTube channel, the intro opening credits sequence to Scott Pilgrim Takes Off prepares fans for an anime television series based on the graphic novel series written and illustrated by Bryan Lee O’Malley.

What is Scott Pilgrim Takes Off about?
“Although email chains might not be as popular as they were 13 years ago, Scott Pilgrim has continued to gain a loyal cult following since the comic’s inception in 2004,” the official synopsis reads. “Scott Pilgrim Takes Off follows the title character as he falls in love with New Yorker Ramona Flowers. But in order to date her, he must defeat all seven of her evil exes. Then things get even more complicated.”
Officially announced in March 2023, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is an anime series developed by O’Malley and BenDavid Grabinski. Edgar Wright, who directed 2010’s Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, serves as an executive producer on the project alongside Michael Bacall, while Science Sara provided the animation.
The cast of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is reprising their roles for the Netflix anime series, with Michael Cera voicing Scott Pilgrim, Mary Elizabeth Winstead voicing Ramona Flowers, Satya Bhabha voicing Matthew Patel, Kieran Culkin voicing Wallace Wells, Chris Evans voicing Lucas Lee, Anna Kendrick voicing Stacey Pilgrim, Brie Larson voicing Envy Adams, Aubrey Plaza voicing Julie Powers, Brandon Routh voicing Todd Ingram, Jason Schwartzman voicing Gideon Graves, and Ellen Wong voicing Knives Chau.
“They’ve all gone on to do incredible things, but to me, they’re family,” O’Malley previously told Tudum about bringing the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World cast back together. “There — to this day — is still a group email with the entire cast on it, that’s been going since 2010. I was happy to be able to reach out to everyone with the news that we had finally come up with a way to continue the adventure. Seeing (and hearing) everyone come back to their roles has been a true pleasure.”
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off arrives on Netflix on November 17, 2023.
