Loki Star Ke Huy Quan Hypes the MCU Show’s Season 2 Finale

Ke Huy Quan, who joined the cast of Marvel Studios’ Loki for Season 2 of the Disney+ series, filmed an upbeat message for fans of the show before the finale airs tonight, November 9.

In the video, Quan addresses the audience, saying, “I’ve waited a very long time to tell you how thrilled I am to join the Loki family.” (This may refer to the SAG-AFTRA strike ending, meaning that actors are now free to promote their projects.) He goes on to explain what a “joy” it was to play his character Ouroboros, or O.B., who quickly became a favorite among Loki’s audience. “It makes me so happy to know that you all love him as much as I do,” Quan says.

At the end of the video, Quan points out his green shirt and then pulls out a prop from the show — a TVA handbook that O.B. wrote and then got to discover all over again as a variant of himself.

Ke Huy Quan’s journey to the MCU

In Loki, O.B. is a hardworking employee of the Time Variance Authority, the company that controls all timelines. From an office deep in the basement, O.B. designs and maintains all of the TVA’s tech, keeping the entire place running with little interruption until Tom Hiddleston‘s Loki and Owen Wilson‘s Mobius show up to ask for his assistance.

Originally known for his childhood roles in The Goonies and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Quan returned to Hollywood for an Oscar-winning performance in 2022’s Everything Everywhere All at Once. It was announced at the D23 Expo in August 2022 that he would join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Loki, and Quan has made his excitement for the role clear.

Loki Season 2 reaches its epic conclusion

The first season of Loki premiered in June 2021. Hiddleston reprises his role of Loki, the brother of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and a former MCU antagonist, who found himself lost between timelines and apprehended by the TVA. The institution initially appeared to be protecting the “Sacred Timeline” and keep the universe from collapsing — but the sinister goals of its originator, Jonathan Majors‘ Kang, were gradually revealed.

The sixth and final episode of Loki Season 2 will air tonight, November 9, on Disney+.
