Agatha: Darkhold Diaries Video Reveals First Look at WandaVision Spin-off Series

The first look at Marvel StudiosAgatha: Darkhold Diaries has been revealed.

Posted on Marvel Entertainment’s YouTube page, a new featurette included in WandaVision’s upcoming 4K UHD and Blu-ray release offers MCU fans the first glimpse of the Agatha: Darkhold Diaries spin-off series.

“I started talking to Marvel about developing something else,” creator Jac Schaeffer says in the video. “We had early conversations about what that could be and maybe it’s this property, maybe it’s this property. Everything that I pitched included a storyline about Agatha. I remember Kevin [Feige] saying to me, ‘We really should think about an actual Agatha show.’ I was like, ‘Where do I sign for that job?’”

Kathryn Hahn added, “There would be nothing more delicious to Agatha than to be in a spin-off. The whole thing made total sense to me and I was just so excited and thrilled.”

What do we know about Agatha: Darkhold Diaries?

Announced in November 2021, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries — which was originally going to be called Agatha: House of Harkness before it was then renamed to Agatha: Coven of Chaos and, now, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries — will continue to follow Hahn’s character following the events of WandaVision.

Starring in the series alongside Hahn are Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Debra Jo Rupp, and Miles Gutierrez-Riley.

“In the first episode we see Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) finally break out of a spell she has been trapped in,” a description for the series reads. “She can’t wait to go back to her old murderous ways only to find that she is powerless. The only way forward for her is to embark on a perilous quest to get her powers back with the help of an unlikely friend or two.”

Agatha: Darkhold Diaries premieres on Disney+ in 2024.
