The first teaser trailer for The Boys Season 4 will be released tomorrow, December 2, 2023.
The official Twitter account for The Boys announced that the teaser for Prime Video’s upcoming fourth season of The Boys will be released online on December 2, 2023. “About this time tomorrow, you’re gonna open this app to watch the S4 teaser trailer. It’s full of nothing but rainbows and butterflies. Who are we kidding, it’s full f—kin’ madness after this first frame.”
The tweet also includes an image, which can be viewed below, showing the backside of Homelander, played by Antony Starr.
What do we know about The Boys Season 4?
The Boys creator Eric Kripke tweeted on November 9, 2023, about the series fourth season, “Here’s the update. Editing: done. VFX: halfway done. Music & sound: quarter done. Now that the SAG strike is over (yay), the actors can record additional dialogue. No airdate yet, but will be worth the wait. It could be our best season. For sure our craziest.”
Based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic book series of the same name, The Boys aired on Prime Video in July 2019. The second season followed in 2020, and the third in 2022.
Earlier this year, Prime Video released the first season of Gen V, which serves as a spin-off to The Boys. While the events of Gen V will play into The Boys Season 4, the spin-off series was renewed for a second season in October 2023. A separate animated anthology spin-off, The Boys Presents: Diabolical, was also released in March 2022.
Another spin-off series — The Boys: Mexico — is in the works. Blue Beetle’s Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer is serving as the creator, writer, and executive producer for The Boys: Mexico, while Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal are both executive producing and reportedly considering starring in the series.
The Boys Season 4 does not yet have an official release date from Prime Video but is expected to arrive in 2024.
