A new trailer for Marvel Studios’ What If…? Season 2 previews a jolly Christmas adventure featuring Howard the Duck, Iron Man, and more.
Marvel Entertainment posted a new trailer for the upcoming second season of What If…?. A rendition of the “12 Days of Christmas,” the trailer readies fans for a season full of “12 Hulks a-smashing,” “11 Howards Quacking,” and “10 Rings a-glowing.” The video also features appearances from Justin Hammer, Doctor Strange, and many more recognizable MCU characters.

What is What If…? Season 2 about?
“The Watcher continues the journey as our guide through the vast multiverse, introducing brand-new and familiar faces throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe,” the official synopsis reads. “The animated anthology series questions, revisits and twists classic Marvel Cinematic moments with an incredible voice cast that includes a host of stars who reprise their iconic roles.”
Marvel also recently released new synopses for two episodes of What If…?’s second season. The first episode, “What If… Nebula Joined the Nova Corps?,” takes place in “a world where Ronan deposes Thanos long before the events of Infinity War” and follows Nebula as she is “recruited to join the Nova Corps. Desperate to escape her father’s shadow, she sets out to prove her detective chops.”
The other episode, meanwhile, is titled “What If Happy Hogan Saved Christmas?” The synopsis reads, “When Justin Hammer lays siege to Avengers Tower during the annual holiday party, there’s only one person left on site to stop him — Happy Hogan. But in setting out to prove his hero chops, Iron Man’s errand boy may end up transforming himself in more ways than one.”
The first episode of What If…? Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on December 22, 2023. The series will continue to debut one new episode a day for nine days in a row.
