Tatiana Maslany says that She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Season 2 probably won’t be happening.
Speaking during a Codnames LIVE! – The New Class Twitch stream on January 15, 2023, per ScreenRant, Maslany briefly addressed if Marvel Studios’ She-Hulk: Attorney at Law would be returning for a second season.
“I don’t think so,” Maslany said. “I think we blew our budget, and Disney was like, ‘No thanks.’”
How much did She-Hulk Season 1 reportedly cost?
According to an August 2023 article published by TVLine, the first season of Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law reportedly had a budget of around $225 million. An article published by Variety in November 2023 stated that at least one single episode of the show had an approximately $25 million price tag, which is more than HBO spent on each episode of Game of Thrones during the show’s final season.
While there were previously rumors that Marvel was considering ordering another season of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, there’s been no official announcement on whether or not the series will return at this time.
Maslaney previously told ScreenRant about what she’d like to see in a second season of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, saying in October 2022, “I don’t know…In the pilot I was like, I thought I knew before I opened the page what it was going to be, and it was so completely different. So, for me it’s really, that’s the spirit of She-Hulk, is that it’s not what you expect and that it takes things that you have come to predict as being the way things are going to go, and it totally flips them on their head. So, I just want to be surprised. I just want great writers on our show to interpret her as they’ve done so wonderfully this season.”
Along with Maslany, the first season of She-Hulk stars Jameela Jamil as Titania, Ginger Gonzaga as Nikki Ramos, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, and Tim Roth as Abomination.
