Invincible creator Robert Kirman says that the third season of the Amazon Prime Video series will be “huge.”
Speaking on the “Inside Episode 8’ segment from Invincible Season 2, per GamesRadar, Kirkman said, “I could not be more excited for season three. I’m all about season three.”
He added, “I think that there are so many pieces that have been put in place in season two that we’re going to build on in season three and so many different ways that we’re going to expand the show and push the show even further.”
Kirkman further noted he wants every episode of Invincible Season 3 to “feel like it’s a finale.” He continued, “Season three is an absolutely huge season with so many crazy things that you won’t expect. And where we leave things at the end of season three… Oh my god, I cannot wait for people to see that stuff.”
Co-showrunner Simon Racioppa also said, “You’ve got some new cast members, new stories. We go [to] some crazy places. But we pick up everything that we left hanging in season two. All the emotional stories that you liked in season one and season two are continuing.”
Fans won’t have to wait super long for Invincible Season 3
Invincible Season 3 does not have a release date at this time; however, Mark Grayson voice star Steven Yeun previously said they were getting “a lot of the backlog done” so there won’t be as long of a gap as there was between the first and second seasons.
“For us, we know that this big break was not fun,” Yeun said. “We’ve been working hard to get a lot of backlog done. We wanna time this animation thing appropriately. So, yeah, we’ve been working. We’re banking episodes, we know what’s going on.”
The first two seasons of Invincible are currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
