Daredevil: Born Again Casts Lou Taylor Pucci In Mystery Role

Actor Lou Taylor Pucci will enter Hell’s Kitchen in Disney+‘s Daredevil: Born Again.

Deadline confirmed Pucci’s casting in an undisclosed role opposite Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin. Pucci is known for his breakout performance as ’80s California surfer Tyler in the Rose Byrne series Physical on Apple TV+. His additional credits include Evil Dead, American Horror Story, Shameless, and You’re the Worst.

Daredevil: Born Again serves as a continuation of the Netflix series that ran from 2015 to 2018. Cox and D’Onofrio made their entry into the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2021 — D’Onofrio in the season finale of Hawkeye and Cox in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Cox later appeared as the Man Without Fear in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

Born Again initially went into production in early 2023 with showrunners Chris Ord and Matt Corman. When the SAG-AFTRA strike halted production, however, Born Again underwent a massive creative overhaul with Ord and Corman replaced by Dario Scardapane (Netflix’s The Punisher).

What is Daredevil: Born Again about?

While details of Born Again’s premise remain under wraps, it is expected to tie in with the mid-credits sequence during the finale episode of Disney+’s Echo where Fisk finds interest in running for mayor of New York City. Original series co-stars Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll return as Froggy Nelson and Karen Page respectively. Additionally, Jon Bernthal reprises his iconic role as Frank Castle/The Punisher. They’ll be joined by newcomers Margarita Levieva, Michael Gandolfini, Sandrine Holt, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, and Clark Johnson.

Daredevil: Born Again is expected to premiere on Disney+ sometime in 2025.
