Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Reveals New Characters and Costumes

Fans of Nintendo’s Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order have some good content to look forward to this week. Nintendo has confirmed the first free update for the comic book-oriented game, debuting this Friday, August 30. Along with two new characters joining the roster,  Hulk, Spider-Man and Captain Marvel are getting new costumes  free of charge.

As seen above, Spider-Man will get the Symbiote Suit, which is an exclusive to the game. Meanwhile, Hulk will be able to rampage in his Planet Hulk armor; which is similar to what he wore in Thor: Ragnarok. And Captain Marvel will have access to her classic Ms. Marvel swimsuit style costume, complete with her black and gold colors.

X-Men veterans Colossus and Cyclops will also be added to the game’s roster. Both characters were featured in the game’s story, but weren’t selectable heroes. But soon, players can pair them up with the likes of Wolverine, Psylocke, Nightcrawler, Magneto, and others.

The update should be available sometime Friday, although a specific time isn’t available just yet. It will prompt automatically once players start up the game. Players should then be able to see the new characters and selectable skins for use right away.

There’s more to come, too. Nintendo has more skins on the way in the months ahead. More characters are coming as well. A Curse of the Vampire pack is set for release on September 30, featuring Marvel Knights favorites like Blade, Moon Knight and The Punisher. Other packs will follow, including the Fantastic Four and X-Men. They currently don’t have a release date at the moment.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is available now for Nintendo Switch.
