Although fans will have to wait just a bit longer for the next season of Doctor Who, a new video game is on the way. And it will give players the opportunity to test drive the TARDIS for the first time!
The BBC has released a new gameplay trailer for Doctor Who: The Edge of Time. In it, players will get a hands-on virtual reality experience that includes hopping into the legendary machine. Flip those knobs, switch on those levers – it’s TARDIS time!
Jodie Whitaker will reprise her role as the Thirteenth Doctor as players attempt to return her to Ghost Monument. But that’s easier said than done, with all of the perils and monsters in their way.

The Edge of Time appears to have a number of scenarios that take advantage of the VR format. This includes everything from grabbing objects to using a flashlight, and solving puzzles with objects in the world, including power switches and other high-tech gadgets. Fans will also be able to battle their fair share of Weeping Angels and Daleks along the way. This is Doctor Who, after all.
The trailer is below. There isn’t a specific release date yet, but fans should expect Doctor Who: The Edge of Time very soon. It’s set to hit Steam, HTC Vive, Oculus VR, and PlayStation VR.
