Fans already have one Avengers game experience to look forward to, with Square Enix’s The Avengers set for a release early next summer. In the meantime, they can stop by a VOID VR location for a brand new experience.
Marvel has announced its collaboration with ILMxLAB for a new virtual reality game called Avengers: Damage Control. The teaser trailer for the game is below and features narration by Letitia Wright, once again portraying Shuri, the technology-driven sister of King T’Challa. The game loosely ties in with the conclusion of Black Panther, with T’Challa keeping his word with helping the world through Wakanda technology. Here are the official story details from VOID VR:
“Shuri has recruited your team of four to test her latest prototype design, a powerful new suit that combines Wakandan and Stark Industries technologies. When a familiar enemy from the Avengers’ past seeks to steal the technology for themselves, your team must stop them before they unleash an oppressive new age upon the planet. Fight alongside some of your favorite Avengers like Doctor Strange, Wasp, Ant-Man, and more in a race to protect the world. Suit up, step in, and save the world in the ultimate Marvel Studios immersive experience.”

Along with Wright, the cast features a number of Marvel Cinematic Universe favorites. These include Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, and Evangeline Lilly as The Wasp.
The game arrives in various VOID VR locations starting on October 18. Tickets are going for $39.99, making the experience slightly steeper than other VR games. However, with the involvement of Marvel and its MCU, it should be a big hit for fans. Tickets are available for purchase here.
The game will only be available for a limited time. It’s unknown if it’ll have a home release past that, but fingers crossed. It’d make quite a one-two punch with Marvel’s other virtual reality experience, Iron Man VR.
