Mortal Kombat fans won’t have to wait too much longer to see the Clown Prince of Crime. During The Game Awards, NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. premiered a new teaser for Joker in Mortal Kombat 11. It confirms his new look, as well as when he’ll arrive — January 28, 2020.
In the clip, Joker walks into the scene in fine dapper form. He’s immediately confronted by Cassie Cage, who happens to be wearing her Harley Quinn costume. Unfortunately, the clip doesn’t feature any Joker gameplay.
Richard Epcar is once again providing the Joker’s voice, as he did in the Injustice games and Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.

NetherRealm will likely premiere first gameplay footage of Joker in action early next year on its Twitch channel. Joker is part of the game’s current Season Pass, which also includes characters like Shang Tsung and the Terminator. The final DLC character, Todd McFarlane’s Spawn, is set to arrive sometime in March 2020.
Mortal Kombat 11 is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
