Much like they’ve done with the original Spider-Man PS4, Insomniac Games is keeping players’ experience with Spider-Man: Miles Morales fresh by occasionally adding new bonus suits in the form of downloadable upgrades. The latest addition to Miles’ closet is bound to impress all of the cyberpunks out there. Earlier today, the developers announced that gamers can now swing through Miles Morales’ virtual NYC in the Advanced Tech Suit.
Insomniac confirmed that the new costume is available to both PS4 and PS5 users. The update also promises several bug fixes, which should come as a relief to anyone who feels that the novelty of turning into random objects in the game has worn off. Additionally, the developers are taking advantage of the PS5’s improved hardware to add “realistic muscle deformation” to certain suits. You can check out their announcement below.

These graphical enhancements add a new dimension of detail to Miles’ movement, and it sounds like Insomniac is setting a bold new standard for the entire video game industry. According to Lead Character Technical Director Josh DiCarlo, the studio borrowed methods from big-screen productions in order to make them a reality.
We’ve fully simulated the entire character from the inside-out, using techniques previously only available in film. Every deformation that you see on the surface of the costume is the result of muscle and cloth simulation.

The Advanced Tech Suit marks the 20th bonus skin available to Miles Morales players. Marvel has also announced that a Funko Pop of Miles wearing the suit is now up for pre-order.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales is currently available for PS4 and PS5.
