WB Games Montréal really wants players to be afraid of the Court of Owls. It’s only been 10 years since this secret society of Gotham oligarchs made their debut in the pages of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s landmark Batman run. But in that timeframe, they have asserted themselves as one of the most indelible recent additions to the DC Universe. Soon, gamers will be able to take them on when Gotham Knights hits consoles next year.
To build some extra hype for the game’s DC FanDome panel this weekend, WB Montréal has spent the last few days posting new teasers to Gotham Knights’ official Twitter page. All of these hint at the wide-ranging influence the organization has wielded over the last few centuries. You can check them out for yourself below.

In the comics, the Court of Owls’ origins can be traced back to colonial times. Their ranks consist of several of Gotham’s oldest and wealthiest families. For hundreds of years, they have used their resources to maintain a stranglehold over the city’s political interests. They also employ their own band of assassins known as the Talons, who are kidnapped as children and trained to help them achieve their ends by whatever means necessary.
DC FanDome returns this Saturday, October 16. Gotham Knights will hit PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Microsoft Windows sometime in 2022.
