Marvel’s Avengers hasn’t always been timely with its new additions, but Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor will be joining the character roster ahead of her big-screen debut in next week’s Thor: Love and Thunder. Before today, Crystal Dynamics has only shown concept art of Jane and an animatic trailer. But now, there’s a new War Table video that showcases the Mighty Thor in action.
Regular players of Marvel’s Avengers will immediately recognize that many of Jane’s moves seem to be directly lifted from the Odinson. Regardless, there are some special abilities that are unique to her. For example, Jane has a bit more control of Mjolnir than Thor does. And one of her special moves sends Mjolnir out on its own while Jane attacks enemies with the All-Weapon, Undrjarn.

Much like the other Avengers in this game, Jane’s primary costume has only a passing resemblance to her comic book counterpart. If you want the Mighty Thor costume from the comics (pictured at the top of the post), it will cost more via in-game currency. The same is true for Jane’s Valkyrie outfit, and the What If…? comic book-inspired Thordis costume.
While Jane will have a mission chain and challenge card, she won’t be getting a specialized campaign like Clint Barton, Kate Bishop, and Black Panther. Instead, it will be along the lines of the Spider-Man mission chain that was used in last year’s exclusive update for PlayStation 4 and 5.
Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor will be available tomorrow, June 28, in a free update for Marvel’s Avengers.
