Although the film was generally well received when it hit theaters in 2010, it bombed (or should we say bob-ombed?) at the box office. Regardless, it managed to find a cult following on home media in the years that followed. The film was originally supposed to return to theaters in the U.S. last summer to celebrate its 10-year milestone. But because of the pandemic, these plans were pushed back a year. The movie finally hit Dolby Cinema locations last Friday. Additionally, director Edgar Wright recently participated in a Q&A with cast members Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Aubrey Plaza, and others.

Scott Pilgrim’s upcoming remaster also boasts a variety of special features, including deleted scenes, bloopers, and featurettes that dive deep into the film’s music and visual effects. Additionally, fans will be able to listen to four different commentary tracks, one of which has Wright talking about the movie with co-writer Michael Bacall and Scott Pilgrim creator Bryan Lee O’Malley. Wright also appears on a “technical” commentary with director of photography Bill Pope. Plus, viewers can choose between two separate cast commentaries. One includes Cera, Winstead, Jason Schwartzman, Ellen Wong, and Brandon Routh. The other features commentary from Plaza, Anna Kendrick, Kieran Culkin, and Mark Webber.
The 4K edition of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World hits stores on July 6.
