DC has dished on the “House of Brainiac” arc that will take over its Superman line of comics starting this April.
Helmed by writer Joshua Williamson and artist Rafa Sandoval, “House of Brainiac” is the second Action Comics arc DC announced as part of its Superman Superstars initiative at New York Comic Con. The arc is expected to run from April through June. Things kick off in Williamson and Sandoval’s Action Comics #1064 — on sale Tuesday, April 9. The issue features a main (connecting) cover by Sandoval, as well as variant covers by Jorge Jiménez, Paolo Rivera, Michael Walsh, and Ariel Colón.
April 9 also sees the release of Green Lantern #10, which kicks off “Guy’s Bogus Lobo Adventure” — a three-part “House of Brainiac” tie-in backup story by Jeremy Adams and Kevin Maguire. Green Lantern #10 features a main cover by Xermánico, as well as variants by Evan “Doc” Shaner, Jorge Fornés, and Michael Walsh.
“House of Brainiac” continues in Superman #13 by Williamson and Sandoval — on sale Tuesday, April 16. The issue features a main cover by Sandoval — which connects to his cover for Action Comics #1064. Variants come courtesy of Lee Bermejo, Sebastian Fiumara, Alan Quah, Jerry Gaylord, and DC head honcho Jim Lee.
Power Girl #8 by Leah Williams, Eduardo Pansica, Júlio Ferreira — another tie-in issue — follows suit on Tuesday, April 23. Yanick Paquette provides the main cover art. Mark Brooks, W. Scott Forbes, and Irvin Rodriguez provide variants.
Finally, the first month of “House of Brainiac” concludes in Superman: House of Brainiac Special #1 — on sale Tuesday, April 30. The one-shot teams Williamson with co-writer Mark Russell and artists Edwin Galmon and Steve Pugh. Jamal Campbell draws the cover art.
