Tim Blake Nelson Talks Captain America 4: ‘People Are Going to Be Pretty Excited’

Tim Blake Nelson has given an update on the return of Samuel Sterns/The Leader in Captain America: Brave New World.

Speaking with ComicBook.com, Nelson discussed The Leader’s forthcoming return in Captain America 4 and how he believes fans are going to be “pretty excited” about how the character looks.

“Really excited. I had a great time filming it,” Nelson said. “And [I] worked with the Marvel team and this wonderful makeup artist named David Atherton with whom I’ve collaborated on a dozen movies now.”

He added, “I think people are going to be pretty excited about what this guy looks like. And what he has to say and what he does. All power to the amazing team over there at Marvel.”

Nelson played Sterns in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk, which was directed by Louis Leterrier and also starred Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, and Tim Roth. He became cross-contaminated with Bruce Banner’s blood near the end of the movie, which will then see him become The Leader in Captain America: Brave New World
