Earlier this month, Marvel hyped up its new Spider-Man miniseries with a countdown starting at 4. While it wasn’t the rumored adaptation of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 4 script, it is the comic book debut of J.J. Abrams and his son, Henry. The father and son duo are co-writing the five-issue miniseries, which will be illustrated by Sara Pichelli. While we may not know how well the younger Abrams can write, we can at least be assured that the book is going to look good.
Marvel has released three of Pichelli’s Spider-Man #1 preview pages in black and white, before Dave Stewart’s colors are added for the final version. There isn’t any dialogue on these pages, but Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson do come face-to-face with a new threat: Cadaverous.
