After taking a week off, The CW’s Black Lightning has returned with a brand new episode last night. Now that war has come to Freeland, the Pierces have to try their best to protect the city from the new Markovian menace. And in order to do so, old alliances were revisited and new ones forged, and even Lady Eve and Gambi put an end to their quarrel.
The freshly released promo for the upcoming episode of the show hints that there might be some casualties among the defenders next week. Lynn sounds very worried about her daughters’ life, while the government threatens to bomb the city in case they can’t find a solution to the invasion led by Gravedigger.

Oz Scott directed the episode written by Pat Charles. The synopsis of “The Book of War: Chapter Two” reads as follows:
“After learning that Gravedigger (guest star Wayne Brady) and the Markovians are coming to attack Freeland, the Pierce family prepares for war. Cress Williams, Nafessa Williams, China Anne McClain, Christine Adams, James Remar, Damon Gupton, Marvin Jones III and Jordan Calloway also star.”

Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash), Salim Akil and Mara Brock Akil (Being Mary Jane, The Game, Girlfriends), as well as Charles D.
